Took Nathan to an interesting place this past Wednesday called Green House, a Montessori-based facility for children. I'm empathizing more & more these days with Amy & other half-to-full time mothers after routinely navigating obstacle courses like an hour-long bus-to-subway-to-bus trip with Nathan, a large backpack of toddler items, a large umbrella, etc. Fortunately, the adventure was worth the effort, as Nathan appeared to enjoy himself & was able to interact with some other infants & toddlers.
Today was a trip in more ways than one, as we traveled with Nathan to Cheng Hsin Medical Center, where our family has been receiving our medical care since arriving in Taiwan. It was time for Nathan to receive a shot to stay somewhat on-schedule with his required immunizations, a chore that he was certainly not pleased to take-on. However, the little man was able to recover speedily & even had the fortitude to sit with me at a nearby cafe this evening while I ate some chou[4] dou[4]fu[3], or "stinky tofu" - very tasty.
This morning, I finalized my Chinese term/character list for the month of March (using Chinese Course.com - highly recommended!). I am hoping to have memorized my first 100 characters by month's end. As the locals here say, "Jia[1] yo[2]" - or, hang-in-there, keep-it-up, lit. "add gas."

The Green House looks super cool! And obviously Nathan had a great time. You're doing great with all the schlepping of stuff - it isn't easy!
Nathan is looking like such a little dude! Too cute! Maddie misses him :)
